This is a little script we made for messiah:studio to help out with scenes with multiple characters that can slow down the interface a little.
This script enables you to make an armature handle that turns off subdivision, turns off the bone deform effect and hides the character geometry, or brings it all back at the click of a button.
Exctract the zip to your messiah directory.
To set it up:
- Add an armature
- Add a handle.
- Add the ULV_CharacterSwitcherOffer click action for instance for the Right mouse button (expand the action to see the LMB/MMB/RMB).
- Select the Mesh, Bone_Deform Effect and input 0 in the On_Off field.
- Add another ULV_CharacterSwitcherOffer click action for instance for the LMB and set the same settings as above, except input 1 in the On_Off field. This will turn the character on when you left click the handle.
This will turn the character off when you right click the button.
