Terms of Service for useful slug services

This document details the standard terms of service for work performed by useful slug for any commissioning client.

1. Services provided
1a. useful slug provide animation production services including but not limited to rigging, modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, rendering, storyboarding, creative direction, technical direction, programming, development and consultation.
2. Calculations of fees and other charges
2a. Fees for professional services must be agreed upon before the commencement of the work. Fees are calculated based on an 8 hour working day, and a 5 day working week, usually for one month at a time. Fees for shorter projects and overtime beyond this are calculated per day.
2b. Before any invoices are sent to the client, useful slug will ensure that all charges in the invoice are correct.
2c. If at any point payment has not reached useful slug within the time frame detailed below a warning will first be issued via email. If payment for the services has not been received after a grace period of 21 calendar days after this warning, a surcharge of 5% of the original amount will incur as a new invoice or as part of the next invoice and for every 21 day period thereafter until the full payment including surcharges has been settled.
3. Billing arrangements
3a. All invoices will be sent by useful slug on a monthly or bimonthly basis, after commencement of the work.
3b. All invoices will contain an invoice number and will detail the work undertaken for the client, as well as the cost of the services for that period.
3c. Payment for each invoice must reach useful slug within 45 calendar days of the date of the invoice. This includes any days spent in the banking system and so it is advisable to pay before this time.
4. Copyrights
4a. Copyright of all code provided by useful slug is maintained by useful slug unless otherwise specifically agreed.
4b. useful slug retains the right to use any material produced for the client for self promotional purposes.
5. Governing laws
5a. The agreement between useful slug and the client are governed by the laws and courts of the United Kingdom and all disputes will be solved in United Kingdom courts.
